THE USE OF “COOKIES”.
During a visit to the site, ‘cookies’ may be placed on your computer’s hard drive, solely to better tailor the site to the needs of returning visitors. These mini-files or cookies are not used to monitor the visitor’s browsing behavior on other websites. Your internet browser allows you to prevent the use of cookies, receive a warning when a cookie is installed, or remove cookies from your hard drive afterwards. Please consult the help function of your internet browser for this.
COOKIES
reshape.coach uses cookies and other techniques such as JavaScript and web beacons on its website and related sites (hereinafter the ‘website’). Because we want to safeguard your privacy and improve the user-friendliness of your visit(s) to our website, we think it’s important that you know how and why we use cookies. Below, we try to provide you with as much information as possible about the use of these techniques, including cookies by Reshape.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROCESSING YOUR DATA?
Reshape, with registered office at Hendrik Prijslaan 22, 3803 Sint-Truiden
is responsible for processing data as described in this cookie policy. The following websites and applications belong to Reshape:
reshape.coach
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small, simple text files that your computer or mobile device stores when you use our website.
WHAT ARE THE OTHER TECHNIQUES?
JavaScript and web beacons are standard internet techniques that, together with cookies, ensure that a system can collect information (JavaScripts), store it in small, simple text files (cookies), and then send it (web beacons). Cookies and other techniques are used on almost all existing websites. By using cookies and other techniques, we ensure, for example, that:
Browsing the website becomes more fun and easier for you
You don’t always receive or have to enter the same information during your visit to our website
We can measure how our website is used and where we can improve it
We can recognize which device you’re using when you visit us
We can (have) register(ed) how often an advertisement is shown to better tailor the ads to your needs and interests and prevent you from seeing the same advertisement all the time
THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
Third-party cookies are also placed via our website. The privacy and cookie policy of the respective company applies to the use of cookies by other companies.
WHICH COOKIES DO WE USE? IN SHORT:
Functional or necessary cookies
Functional cookies ensure that our website functions correctly, e.g., your browser settings are saved so you can view our website optimally on your screen.
Analytical cookies
With analytical cookies, we collect statistics about the use of our website by users with the help of third parties. By measuring website usage, we can continue to improve our website for the benefit of our users.
Among other things, the following data is stored:
The IP address, which is anonymized
Technical characteristics such as the browser you use (like Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Firefox) and the resolution of your computer screen and which device you use
From which page you came to the website
When and how long you visit or use the website
Third-party social media cookies
Social media cookies are cookies that enable functionalities of social media websites. Think of a YouTube video for a project presentation, use of Google Maps, or a ‘like’ button for Facebook.
THIRD-PARTY SOCIAL MEDIA COOKIES
How do third-party social media cookies work?
Social media cookies are placed by the social media websites themselves. When you click a social media button in our web shop, a social media cookie is placed. The social media party can recognize your IP address when you want to share a page from our web shop. For the cookies that social media parties place and the data they collect with them, we refer to the statements that these parties provide on their own websites. We recommend that you regularly consult the following privacy and cookie statements:
BROWSER SETTINGS
If you don’t want websites to store cookies on your computer, adjust your browser settings. You’ll then receive a warning before cookies are placed. You can also adjust your settings so that your browser refuses all cookies or only third-party cookies. You can delete cookies that have already been placed. Note that you have to adjust the settings separately for each browser, device, and computer you use. We want to point out that if you don’t want to use cookies, we unfortunately can’t guarantee that our website works properly. Some functions of the web shop may be lost or you may not be able to view certain pages at all. Additionally, refusing cookies doesn’t mean you won’t see any ads anymore. The ads are then just not tailored to your interests and will be repeated more often. How to adjust your settings differs per browser. Click on one of the icons below to go directly to your browser’s manual or consult your browser’s help function if needed.
If you want to turn off cookies from specific parties, you can do so via www.youronlinechoices.com.
